Parsons Close Recreation Ground in Leighton Buzzard was the fitting host to the Leighton Linslade Carnival on Saturday July 13th. The highly anticipated event attracts many people from all around the local area to come together and embrace the carnival atmosphere.
For 2019, the theme was ‘music through the ages’. There were many musical performances throughout the day from local groups and performers to showcase their talents. Luton & Dunstable Hospital Radio hosted the programme of entertainment in the arena. This included performances by Glee Club, Shooting Stars Majorettes, Zumba Kids, Shires Royal British Legion Youth Band and others.
There was also a Funfair run and a music centre summer concert for everyone to enjoy. A carnival procession of floats, which began earlier in the day, had completed its route and returned to the carnival mid-afternoon for all to view and enjoy by the fairground.
Our team from our Leighton Buzzard branch were in attendance on the day handing out goody bags and supporting the event in force. We enjoyed supporting the local community in a very important event. We are proud to continue supporting the carnival and look forward to next year’s event and theme on July 11th 2020.
