Our latest update, December 21st 2020
We would like to provide all of our members an update on our decision to permanently close the Wendover and Buckingham branches with immediate effect. You can read our official statement in full from our Chief Executive, Sarah Howe.
Below is an update for all of our members on new measures we have taken to help protect our staff, members and our business against Coronavirus infections.
Further, we will reduce the opening hours of our remaining branches to reflect the reduced number of customers using the branches and protect both members and staff from the risk of unnecessary exposure to the virus.
All four of our branches; Harpenden, Radlett, Tring and Leighton Buzzard have these opening hours during Christmas and new year.
Here are the addresses of the branches which are open within the restricted hours outlined above:
Harpenden – Aberdeen House, 14 Station Road, Harpenden, Hertfordshire, AL5 4S
Leighton Buzzard – 22 Market Square, Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire, LU7 1HE
Tring – 38 High Street, Tring HP23 5AA
Radlett – 341 Watling Street, Radlett, Hertfordshire, WD7 7LB
We appreciate that these changes may be inconvenient for some of our members and we apologise for that. However, we hope you agree that it is right to take these steps to protect both our staff and members as a priority.

Given the uncertainty surrounding COVID-19 (Coronavirus), we have taken the following measures to ensure our staff are safe and that we continue to support our members, savers and borrowers:
- We have ensured that key operational staff work out of separate offices to limit the potential for infection.
- We have made preparations to enable more of our staff to work from home.
- We have increased our IT infrastructure to support online and telephone banking services as more customers may wish to use those services.
You can help us over the coming weeks by taking the following steps:
- Please keep your information with us up to date so that we can contact you should we need to.
- Please ensure that your nominated account information is kept up to date. This will enable us to transfer money to you electronically without needing to visit one of our branches.
